Arribada

"Arribada" is the name given to the Kemp's ridley sea turtles as they come ashore and nest in groups. This shirt was made to represent the flag flown as nesting sea turtles arrive on the beaches of Padre Island National Seashore. The efforts taken to give these turtles a protected nesting location began in the 1960's when on the brink of extinction. These types of efforts show how conservation can help save a species that is crucial in maintaining marine ecosystems. As avid outdoorsman and women we should strive to continue to take care of mother nature and she will take care of us.
